The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Manager to lead financial planning and analysis for the Japan business while managing and developing a small finance team. This role combines hands‑on financial leadership, people management, and strategic business partnering, working closely with senior stakeholders both locally and globally.
The successful candidate will oversee budgeting, forecasting, performance management, and reporting, while ensuring strong accounting discipline and compliance. This is a highly visible role with real influence on business decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes
• Deliver insightful financial analysis and performance reporting to senior management
• Act as a strategic business partner supporting commercial and operational teams
• Oversee month‑end close, accounting accuracy, and financial controls
• Manage, coach, and develop a high‑performing finance team
• Collaborate closely with regional and global finance teams
• Drive continuous improvement across FP&A and accounting processes

Your Skills

• Fluency in Japanese and English (business‑level or above in both)
• Strong experience across FP&A and accounting in a corporate environment
• People management experience, with a track record of developing team members
• Solid understanding of financial controls, reporting, and local GAAP
• Ability to operate in a fast‑moving, international organisation
• Confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders
• Experience in consumer goods, retail, or sports/lifestyle industries is a plus
